Wiltshire Golf Union Announces New Job Opportunity, Golf development Officer
Wiltshire Golf Union has announced a new and exciting job opportunity in a bid to promote the sport across the county.
The Wiltshire Golf Partnership, England Golf, Wiltshire County Sports Partnership and The Golf Foundation are trying to raise the game’s profile by implementing the Wiltshire Golf Development Plan.
As a result, they are looking for someone with good communication skills to help promote the sport across the county, on a part time basis.
The Golf Development Officer will work with volunteers, coaches, schools, clubs and other agencies to assist and provide golf opportunities for all.
The Wiltshire County Golf Partnership is looking for someone who can demonstrate a good understanding of sports development principles along with good organisational skills and the ability to motivate others. Knowledge of golf and its structures would be helpful, but is not essential.
This post is offered on a temporary basis for 1 year, with a view to secure further funding to extend the post. However, as it is subject to external funding, agreed annually, the post will cease to exist should this funding be unavailable and appropriate notice will be provided.
Given the nature of the post the successful applicant will be required to authorise an application for Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
If you feel you are up for the challenge, have the necessary experience and skills to develop golf in Wiltshire, then we would like to hear from you.
Please apply with cv and covering letter to: Secretary, Wiltshire Golf Partnership, The Rowans, Church Rd Derry Hill, Calne, Wilts SN11 9NR. For a copy of the job description, refer to the web site wcgu.org.uk and click on The Wiltshire Golf Partnership.
