When myself and my boyfriend want to go out for some good food and drink but can't be bothered to venture very far, we always head to Revolutions. With a 2 course meal set priced at £16.95 or 3 course at £18.95 which includes a bottle of wine between 2 people (a really good bottle of wine at that) you really cannot go wrong.
The menu changes monthly and is full of interesting dishes (no pub-favourite 'hunters chicken' here) and includes starters of deep fried mozarella with pesto and sundried tomatoes, pan fried cod fillet with orange and chilli courgette salad and smoked chicken caesar salad. The portions are just right so you're not too full to enjoy your main course. I always go for the fillet steak with the stilton sauce (there are small concessions for steak and the sauce) which is served with crispy roast potatoes and buttery veg and new potatoes. Mark is more adventurous than myself and he has tried a lot of different mains but his favourite is the duck breast served with garlic mash and a delicious sauce.
If you've got room for a pudding (and at only £2 extra it would be rude not to..) then there's a great choice from eton mess to cheesecake, chocolate tart or a cheese board.
Low lighting, lots of candles and a rustic charm make you feel as though you're miles away from Chippenham. The service is good and Revolutions is well worth a visit in a town largely dominated by Chinese and Indian restaurants.

Revolutions is a brilliant bar, cafe and restaurant that offers a delicious selection of excellently cooked cuisine. At Revolutions Bar & Grill they offer a fantastic lunch deal with any meal plus a drink for just £5 with the Burger and Chips I had tasted and presented impeccably.
We visited revolutions restaurant recently after becoming frustrated with the towns lack of any restaurants apart from chinese and indian.
We had an excellent meal. The staff were warm and friendly and the food was spot on. It struck a perfect balance of being very good quality food without being over the top. We both had 3 courses and were given a free bottle of very good wine.
All in all its the perfect friendly local restaurant. I will be visiting again!

ReportRevolutions probably has a reputation for being a bit pricier than some other town centre eateries but that's because it's good! Having said that, it was actually cheaper than i expected but you get what you pay for. The menu's full of decent meant and fish dishes and the lunch menu's good too. I'd like to see it busier, go try it out.
