Great for a new years day walk

I'll be visiting the George at Lacock on New Years Day for lunch as always! It's usually packed full of walkers seeking refreshment or families out for new year get together.I love the open fire atmosphere and friendly staff. I alway look forward to a visit.

    Depressing Experience

       

    George Inn,, Sandy Lane
    Dreary atmosphere, looks great from the outside but inside it's all 70's chic and could do with a complete overhaul
    Service dreadful, the manageress is in desperate need of a 'customer service' course (if my son acted and spoke to people in the way she speaks and treats her customers he would be reprimanded). Serious lack of proffesionalism here.
    Couldn't wait to leave this place it was a depressing experience.

    Best Pub

       

    My husband and I have been to The George at Sandy Lane many times. Since Harriet and Mark took it over it has become our regular place to eat at. The food is cooked well, very reasonable with good service. I send all my B&B guests up there with no hesitation.
