A German village has come up with an inventive way of combating pot holes - by asking people to buy them.

pothole
People in the cash-strapped village of Niederzimmern near Leipzig can pay for a pothole to be filled and have their own personal message on top. It costs 50 euros, but seems to be getting the problem fixed, with residents buying up the mini craters daily.
Some of the potholes have even been snapped up by newspapers and television stations looking for a novel way to advertise.
So, with Chippenham’s roads seemingly falling into disrepair, and more potholes appearing daily following the cold snap, could this be something residents are keen to introduce locally?
Would you be happy to pay £50 to fill a pothole in your road? Or fix a problem area that bothers you daily?
Or would you rather Wiltshire Council foot the bill and have to wait indefinitely to see them fixed?
Let us know where you think the worst roads in town are? And what you think of the German’s innovative solution to an all too common, and frustrating, problem.
