Disappearance Of Donovan van Lill Remains Suspicious

The disappearance of Chippenham man Donovan Van Lill is being dealt with as a suspicious missing person enquiry, according to police.

Information has been found as to the whereabouts of 29 year old Mr Van-Lill, who vanished from his home in Pewsham on March 3.

 

A Major Incident Room has now been established at Melksham Police Station, and a team of 40 officers are now dedicated to this investigation.  The status of the investigation will remain as suspicious until police can confirm or disprove the existence of any criminality.

 

Detective Superintendent Norman McKEAVENEY, has been appointed as the Senior Investigating Officer and says:- “ I have to consider a number of possibilities which may explain Donovan’s disappearance, and at this stage of the enquiry, I have an open mind, whereby nothing is ruled out of consideration. Donovan’s disappearance will necessitate a methodical, but detailed, investigation.”

 

There will be noticeable police activity in various areas of Chippenham throughout today, with house to house enquiries being conducted, interviews of key witnesses and friends being carried out, and background enquiries with Donovan’s friends and acquaintances.
