The Aero Badminton Club is a new badminton club that meets at Hardenhuish School Sports Hall, Chippenham, Wiltshire, on Thursdays from 7 pm to 10 pm.

The club's ethos is "all ages, all abilities, all welcome". We strive to create a safe, non elitist, welcoming environment for people of all ages to learn and play badminton in a social and competitive setting.

We encourage all our members to reach the highest levels of attainment and show members how to hold a racket (grip), footwork, racket strokes, position on courts, sportsmanship and scoring amongst other things.

We have a number of guidelines to monitor and maintain player behaviour and employ experienced CRB checked coaches. We have an established child protection policy in place and are working towards getting Club Mark Accredition within the year.

We have the support of the local council in running a "Return to Sport" programme for begineers and people with little experience and will be soon expanding into local village halls for Derry Hill, Kington Langley, Yatton Kennel and Biddestone again with council support. As we grow we intend to operate from other venues and other nights.

First night is FREE, thereafter juniors £1.50/night

For adults aged 16 and over it is £3/night

We also have a reduced couple membership of £5/night and a special concession rate of £2/night (with proof to qualify) for full time students, the unemployed, registered disabled, senior citizens (retired) and persons employed by the armed forces. This is a club for all initiative designed to appeal to sections of the community who would not consider taking up a sport.
