ReportI went to the raj Indian restaurant for the first time last week, the interior looks really nice and the service is friendly, i had popadoms for starter, i didnt like them much because i found them to thick so left most of them, the guy asked if everything was ok so i told him i found them to thick, i had a prawn sagg and it was really nice with the right amount of heat, it was medium hot and wasnt to hot so was great. When we got the bill they hadn't charged me for the popadoms which I thought was really good service as I had told the guy I wasn't pleased with them. Will be going back again

ReportI went to The Raj on Station Hill for the first time tonight and I am delighted to say it was a fabulous experience. Firstly, they have invested ito a high standard of decoration, tables, chairs and lighting. It looks and feels the part. When you consider that so many shops are closing down in the town, it is great to see someone investing in a quality venue. The food itself had a wonderful variety of tastes from the popadoms and dips, to the coconut bread, to the bhunas and rogan josh. Everything was of a very high standard. Finally, the attention of the staff and owner, Naz - who I have met previously when he was at the Akash - was very friendly, attentive and warm. Naz makes you feel at home and doesn't take your custom for granted unlike some restaurants I have experienced. I hope this place is a success because they currently have a great formula and all the ingredients to do very well.

ReportHaving expereinced many good Indian restaurants over the years and being a keen Indian cook myself I consider myself to be able to identify what makes a good curry. The Raj in Chippenham delivers on ALL levels. The food is of the best quality, especially the King Prawn dishes. The presentation is exceptional and the staff are attentive and friendly. "Naz" the owner who I have know since he worked in the Akash in Chippenham will ensure that you have one of the best Indain meal experiences you have had. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
