Chippenham man made non- exectutive direct of Taunton hospital

Chippenham man Gavin Gracie was recently appointed as a non executive Director at Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

Gavin was appointed after a very competitive selection process, with over 40 applicants. The whole appointment process was run by the governors at Musgrove Park Hospital, the majority of who are elected by foundation trust members.

Gavin is a chartered accountant by background and has run his own consultancy for the last 12 years as a corporate recovery and business turnaround specialist. He also enjoys his rugby and has coached both juniors and seniors for many years. He said: “I am very aware of Musgrove’s excellent reputation and I am very pleased to be part of the team.”

Chairman Ros Wyke said: “Gavin has excellent specialist skills and I am delighted that he has joined the Board of Directors.”

Gavin has been appointed for a four year term starting on 1st January 2011 and will receive remuneration of £12,515 per annum.
