New Year is fast approaching, bringing with it the usual wave of guilt-induced resolutions that last about a week. Or is that just me? Well, if you're guilty of the same then this little list might help you narrow down 2011's resolution - and who knows, you might even stick to it!

What will you do in 2011?
Getting
Fit
If
shedding some pounds this New Year is top of your resolution list then check
out the recent ‘Getting fit in Chippenham’ article for
some hints and tips on how and where to get started.
If it’s diet your
focusing on, rather than exercise, then try one of Chippenham’s Weight Watchers
groups. They take place across the town, from Wood Lane, St Andrew’s Church
Hall or The Constitutional club and have a range of morning and evening
meetings.
Slimming World also
operates in Chippenham – meetings take place at Sheldon School, Pewsham Community
Centre and St Peter’s School.
Call Candy on 01666 840645 for more info on joining
Slimming world or click

Quit smoking
Another popular
resolution for many is to quit the fags. Well, there’s plenty of support for
you in Chippenham.
NHS offer several Stop Smoking initiatives across the county and hold
regular clinics at Chippenham Hospital.
Your local doctor’s
surgery will also offer information on quitting and will guide you through a
step by step programme to help you become smoke-free.
Chippenham’s pharmacies
will also have information t help you quit. Try the chemists in Morrisons and Sainsbury’s,
both of which can help.
If you’re after
alternative treatment to quit then hypnotherapy or
acupuncture could be what you’re after.
New hobby?
If you’re already fit and
healthy then your New Year’s resolution is likely to be hobby-related. I’m
guilty of this too, every year I decide I’m going to learn a language of play
an instrument. So, luckily in Chippenham there are plenty of options to give
you some inspiration.
Try Wiltshire
College in Chippenham for a start. They offer plenty of courses from
photography to French.
What about theatre? Try
your hand at acting, singing, stage design, etc with CLOGS
theatre group. Members are welcome from age 14 upwards.
