Art in the Park on Saturday

Art in the Park will be back next weekend to offer a weekend of family entertainment.

The popular annual event is returning on Saturday but instead of taking place as usual in John Coles Park it will be moving to Monkton Park and the entertainment will span two days.

Last years event attracted thousands who tried their hand at different arts an crafts as well as demonstrations.

This years event has been organised to coincide with the Dragon Boat race, which is also taking place on Saturday.

On Friday July 9 the Art Exhibition will be held in the Olympiad Leisure Centre between 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturday July 10 Monkton Park will be transformed into ‘The Street’, where there will be craft marquee, workshops, entertainments, hands-on experiences and demonstrations.

The art exhibition will also be open on Saturday during the same hours.
