The Battle of Chippenham @ Monkton Park

In the Summer of 1643 a civil war broke out over politcal controversy in Wiltshire.

The civil war will be displayed in Monkton Park over a two day event organised by Chippenham Town Council and The English Civil War Society.

People will be in 17th Century armor with displays of weaponry including cannons.

The event is free for everyone to come along and visit to learn about the history of the civil war as well as seeing war in action!

This only happens every few years in Chippenham so don't miss out!

The event will be held in the park on Saturday, 6, July and Sunday, 7, July 2013.
