I've been down Chippenham High Street & got caught by some of the people working on behalf of a charitable organisation, trying to get you to sign up, to give a donation of £12-18 per month. This has happened to me on numerous occasions & while most of them are friendly, some can be downright rude & in your face! I've helped a fair few good causes in my time, but there is a minority of people giving good causes a bad name with their pushy tactics.

I actually enjoy a game of 'dodge the charity worker' whilst going down Chippenham high St.!!!! Fair game I say...I've not been caught yet...

Anyways....for a far less rude way of doing things, please click this http://tinyurl.com/22rhgnu to help with MOVEMBER, and the awareness of prostate cancer in men!

It's a bit like running a gauntlet in Chip High Street. I think eyes down and fast walk are the best avoidance methods. Also, which charity was asking for £12-18 a month? That seems a lot for a charity subscription!

There are mainly student type people, who try to raise money for numerous charities, 5-6 seem to rotate. They all seem to ask for £12-18 per month. The most polite are from the National Autistic Society, the least polite are with Shelter. I've seen them use tactics like walk alongside people, (esp old ladies) & even stop people dead in their tracks, which I think is bang out of order!
