Is this profiteering?
The Petrol station at Sainsburys has been closed now for a number of weeks. What I did notice is that the price of Petrol at the Nearby Esso Filling Station promptly jumped by a couple of pence that same day.
What I have also noticed is that it is a whole 4 pence per litre more expensive than the Esso garage that is attached to the Tesco Express in Hungerdown Lane.
So two filling stations from the same franchise, within a half a mile of each other have a 4p difference? I cannot see what there is different between these that accounts for such a difference, other than one is on a main road and is easily seen by those who would normally buy their fuel from Sainsbury's, and the other is possibly out of their way.
I would not buy my petrol here, ill save that 4p a litre and get it from Tescos/Esso down the road!
