So it looks as though Oriental Aroma on Station Hill is set to re-open as an Indian. What does everyone think about this? We have so many fantastic award winning Indians in town, surely this is bound to be a flop??

Another one? Shame we can't get something a bit different, as you say, the ones we have are great! I also saw that the Tamarind (out towards Hill Rise) is re-opening...as another Indian! Did I see that right?

Yes you did see that right.
I must admit I never went to Tamarind, but from what I heard it was kind of kept as a pub that served Indian food and was a bit of a flop. The new owners look like they've give it a complete re-furb and will run it as a 'proper' Indian restaurant.

I agree that Chippenham does seem to have more than enough Indian's as it is, don't get me wrong, I love Indian food, but I don't think they're all going survive.

I don't see how they can all survive - especially out of town. I think the problem with the Tamarind was the location, not rubbish food!

Has anyone been to the raj yet on station hill, I'm thinking of going at some point but I do agree think we have far to many indian restaurants and it would of been nice to have something different
