Wales & West Utilities up to their old tricks again.

Traffic has been stacking back on Malmesbury Road as far as the DL Windows site the last few mornings and as far as I can see the reason is that W&W Utilities have dug up one lane of New Road down by the traffic lights, meaning all traffic has to merge into one lane.

Now don't get me wrong if there is a repair or urgent work to be carried out then roads need to be dug up while this work is carried out but, every time I have gone past the site there has not been anyone there doing any work, they have just dug the road up and cleared off, which is just what happened a few weeks back on one of the lanes on Marshfield Road near to where the two lanes separate.

I would have thought that when digging up roads that cause major congestion they would at least try to get the job done as quickly as possible.
