Skatepark plans in Chippenham: according to one councillor the viability of two potential sites are being explored in detail by the Chippenham Area Board. These sites are not yet being made public but It is hoped that this will happen sometime in the next couple of months. What do you think - do we need a skatepark? Remember the uproar we had in Monkton Park a few years back with their skate park?

I thought he monkton skate park was closed, simply because of all the NIMBY types. Oh and these people are the first to moan about kids hanging around on street corners.

Skateparks, whilst noisy, are good for kids and can reduce occurences of Anti Social Behaviour.

I think it's a great idea. All skaters from Chippenham and villages around have to go to Bath and further to carry on with their hobbies. If they could have their own place in Chippenham where they could do it then others wouldn't complain about them skating privite places which isn't their falut in a first place. I really hope they will build a skatepark in Chippenham soon. Thumbs up !
