Owned by Rachel Butler, who also runs the Baguette Bar in Melksham, Steamers is decorated in vibrant reds and has local art for sale on its walls. There are several PCs there for public use and WiFi access as well. It’s been through several incarnations, but this version seems to be lasting. You can buy newspapers, coffee and creamy hot chocolate to go and a range of sandwiches, sweets and snacks. Even better, Steamers has got a small selection of beers and wines; fine for when you’ve finished work for the day but not so hot first thing in the morning! It’s a bit pricey but the food is better quality and cheaper than you can expect to pay on First Great Western.

Steamers Internet Cafe in Cocklebury Road is a great place to grab a quality cup of coffee and surf the web. The prices for web access are very reasonable and the quality of the drinks and snacks on offer is very high. If youre in Chippenham and need to check your email then this is the perfect place to go.
