KING'S LODGE SCHOOL - ACT OF REMEMBRANCE 11.11.11

Everyone at King's Lodge School paused for remembrance at 11 o'clock on Friday 11th November 2011.  Whilst Foundation and Year 1 children and staff held a minute of silence in their classrooms, Year 2 and Key Stage 2 classes lined up in the playground, participating in an act of remembrance. 

Year 6 children read excerpts from the poems 'In Flanders Fields' and 'For The Fallen' and Luke played 'The Last Post' on the trumpet before a two minutes silence.  As children and staff then returned to their classrooms, the 2011 Official Poppy Appeal single "I've Gotta Get A Message To You" by The Soldiers and Robin Gibb was played.
