Dog walker rescued from river in Chippenham

A 24-year-old dog walker was rescued from the River Avon after slipping Thursday Night.

A man was rescued from the River Avon after slipping.
The incident happened at around 10:30pm last night near Sadlers Mead.
The dog walker was in the water for 20 minutes when a woman heard his cries and called the emergency services.
An ambulance crew rescued the man at around 11pm and was reported cold but unhurt. The dog was also found safe.
