Chippenham cinema this summer

Chippenham cinema gets a bit of bad reputation around town for being old-fashioned and somewhat rundown. But I think we're lucky to even have one, especially with summer holidays starting now.

The Reel cinema
The nearest multiplex's are in Bath and Swindon, so a train journey at least. It might not be Cineworld but Chippenham's cinema does the job.
They've had a bit of a revamp over the years and now even show 3D – can't be all bad?
So, if you're stuck for ways to entertain the kids during week one of the summer holidays, here's what's on offer.
Harry Potter – of course, which cinema isn't showing the biggest film of the summer. Chippenham cinema is showing it until the end of this week in 2D and 3D with twice daily showings. The 2D is on at 11am and 5pm daily and 3D is showing at 2pm and 8pm.
Also on show is Cars 2, also in 2D Chippenham cinema gets a bit of bad reputation around town for being old-fashioned and somewhat rundown. But I think we're lucky to even have one, especially with summer holidays starting now.

Coming up over the next few weeks: Horrid Henry, Smurfs, Arrietty, Captain America, The Zookeeper, Planet of the Apes, Inbetweeners Movie, and plenty more.
We're also interested to know what you think about Chippenham's cinema. Is it worth having? Or do you prefer to travel further afield?

ReportWell this is a good point - retro cinems are coming into fashion - maybe that's the way Chippenham's should go, rather than just being old-fashioned...

ReportTheres nothing wrong with it at all. The old fashioned style adds to its charm in my opinion
