Local businesses across Chippenham took their Christmas spirit to the next level by decorating their shop windows for a competition.
Shop windows across the Chippenham High Street were decorated in tinsel and fairy lights in an attempt to win the 'Best Christmas Shop Window' and 'Best Shop Window Display'.
Judging the Christmas displays were: The Mayor of Chippenham Councillor Andy Phillips, Councillor Nina Phillips and Abi Hunt from Chippenham Community and Visitor Information Centre.
Oxfam was announced as the winner of the 'Best Christmas Shop Window' category, Shamrock Linen was awarded 'Best Shop Window Display' and The Body Shop, Coates Florist, Floral Culture and Dorothy House were given 'Highly Commended' awards.
The Mayor of Chippenham, Councillor Andy Phillips said: "It was not an easy task judging the displays. We took the opportunity to judge the displays during the day and at night to see their full festive impact that the windows provide before a decision could be made."
The award winners were presented with their prizes yesterday by The Mayor.
"We would like to commend all the staff that made their shops look colourful, festive and inviting. The final choice was very difficult to make so we wish to acknowledge on behalf of the Town Council, the effort and talent that went into some very attractive displays."
The Christmas window displays will be on show throughout Christmas and New Year.
