Art students showcase work in first exhibition

An art exhibition showcasing students work in fine art, print, 3D, photography, graphics, textiles and fashion is being held at Wiltshire College Chippenham.
Students are excited about their first ever exhibition opening on Wednesday, December 18.
Art Axis features the work of 30 students, studying the BTEC Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Art and Design.
This is the first exhibition they have held and Liz Beale, who is the Programme Leader for Art and Design said: "It has given them a real chance to experience what it is like to be a practicing artist.
"They have all worked incredibly hard and professionally to meet such an important deadline."
The art department at Chippenham benefited from a revamp over the summer and now has new studios to work in. With many new staff new disciplines have also be added to the course.
The exhibition runs from Wednesday, December 18 until Friday, December 20, from 10am until 4pm and is open to members of the public to attend as well as staff and students.
